Planmeca Viso® enters a new era with three advanced new imaging units

The Planmeca Viso® G1 imaging unit is the latest addition to the range of Planmeca Viso® CBCT devices and a genuine powerhouse that has been designed to meet the diverse needs of today’s dental clinics. The unit comes with a smaller volume size and has been furnished with top-of-the-line sensor technology, an intuitive graphical user interface, as well as effortless patient positioning.

The robust and reliable Planmeca Viso G1 is able to produce consistently great images even with heavy daily workloads. With a Field of View (FOV) up to 11 x 11 cm, Planmeca Viso G1 offers all the essential imaging programs, from panoramic to 3D dental and TMJ imaging programs. Additionally, the device can be equipped with an effective one-shot cephalostat, adding still more capabilities for cephalometric analyses and orthodontic treatment planning.

As with all Planmeca Viso 3D units, the new unit is further complemented by several proprietary solutions. These include Planmeca CALM®, Planmeca’s revolutionary algorithm for motion artefact correction, and the scientifically proven Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ protocol, which enables CBCT imaging at significantly lower effective patient doses without a statistical reduction in image quality.

At the same time, the Planmeca Viso family is also expanding into the world of 2D imaging with two new devices. Planmeca Viso® 2D Pro and Planmeca Viso® 2D Classic are two incredible imaging units that make Planmeca’s tried-and-true Viso technology available to 2D imaging users around the world. Both combine an intuitive user interface with easy patient positioning and phenomenal image quality for a truly seamless user experience.

The new Planmeca Viso devices will be introduced alongside other Planmeca product innovations at IDS 2025 in Cologne on 25–29 March (hall 1, booth A30−C39).
